Sarvendriyanam
Nayanam Pradnam said.
There
are many ways to live with any handicap a person is born with. But without the
nayanas (eyes) which are the main senses, life is dark.
The
eye is the most precious and delicate organ in the human body. Eyes are the
reason why man can see this wonderful world. It is a great gift given to us by
God. The most painful thing is that those without eyes cannot see this world.
It
is said that even if a person has a disability, the mind should not have a
disability. Those with mental fortitude not only overcome physical disabilities
but also stand as role models for many. This is literally true. This is the true-life
story of such an inspiring blind woman. Her name is "Payyavula Komuramma".
She was born blind. But Nem is doing her own work and is an inspiration to many
disabled people and young women.
Gummadavelli
is a remote village of Komuramma Suryapet district. She was born to Borrayya
and Muttamma in a poor Yadava family. Since she was born blind, she faced many
challenges. Mother Muthamma was the first teacher of Komuramma who could not do
anything in life. It is no exaggeration to say that all mothers in the world
love their children like heaven. But mother loves her child more than that.
There were many occasions when the mother cried seeing her child's life in
darkness. Komuramma was enrolled in a primary school in the same village. But
as it was not a school for the blind, she could not understand the lessons
given by the teachers properly. She was confined to her home as there were no
schools for the blind anywhere around.
Komuramma
used to take Komuramma with her wherever she went for labor and farm work,
moreover, she tried to learn little by little by observing the lines of kinship
and the way her mother spoke. She used to remember everyone's voice. Komuramma
has such a memory that when someone comes home, their voice says their name
immediately. Another name for humanity is "Muthamma of Paiyavula".
She has a kind heart that greets everyone warmly. As the child grows, the
mother is haunted by unexpected pain. She will take care of the child as long
as she is healthy, but the thought of how her child will do things on her own
without depending on anyone hurts the mother. Although Lachamma was illiterate,
she had forethought and trained her child to do cooking and housework just like
everyone else. Komuramma listened carefully and learned patiently. Thus she was
able to bring Komuramma's life from darkness to light. At first the child was
shocked to see the life. She longs for a better future. Salutations to you
mother. A mother's love for her child is indescribable and priceless. Apart
from teaching work, many times he would show them how to go to someone in the
village. Mother can go to everyone's house by counting the distance of the
house shown in feet and by time. Those who see it wonder and doubt whether they
will see eyes. But with constant practice she managed to make the impossible
possible.
Not
upset about the lack of eyes. It didn't stop me from having no future.
Self-belief is the next step forward. Behind her success is her mother.
So
mother Muthamma took care of Komuramma till 43 years. Komuramma's life was
going through ups and downs when her mother died unexpectedly due to severe
illness. Komuramma broke down in tears after hearing the news of her mother's
death. Seeing that incident brought tears to the eyes of the people of the
village. After the death of the mother, the father (Borrayya) also fell ill.
With Muthamma's forethought, Komuramma instructed her to do her work herself.
Poor
Komuramma does not even have a proper house to live in. Her residence is within
the old mud walls. No matter how many governments have changed, there is no
Nadhu who cares about Komuramma's wall. Still we want the government to show
special initiative towards Komuramma.
Wanting
Komuramma to be an example for those who are lazy to work from all organs these
days..
Let
us all pray to God that Komuramma will live a healthy and happy life for a
hundred years.
